For window 7 , i just copy-paste content of dvd to usb. And select usb as first boot device in boot menu. Nothing external needed.

^^ does that seriously work? as just copying files doesn't write into the boot sector of the USB

sure, as i said , just copy paste content from dvd . I did many times.

Insert usb drive , start system , press F8 to select boot device. :)

^^In that case,if u copy the contents & paste it then, OP will have to extract the iso first....if iso too large then it'll take lot of time and space..

why extract? , use daemon tool to mount iso. I have 4 gb pen drive , And "window 7 ultimate build 7600." I use usb because it take very less time in comparison to dvd.
