Alternatives to the gym

Hi all,

I dont like the gym and the vain individualism it promotes. But I do like feeling strong and looking good. Any other things I could do that would give the same results but be a lot more fun?

Have you tried Resistance band exercises? I use it when i don't go to the gym.
Resistance bands come in different colors according to the amount of resistance that you need to exert.
Usually Yellow,Green,Red and Black, where Yellow bands are the Easiest and Black is the Toughest.
I've been using it for an year, now using black bands :D
I found if effective for working out abs and back muscles.
These are portable and you can do exercises for any joint, there are other advantages too when compared to Barbells and Weights as for the resistance bands, you need to exert a uniform force throughout the range.
