A new Gaming Rig for 65k

Ans:Games like Battlefield 3, Crysis 2,Max Payne 3,Witcher 2 Prototype 2 and Batman-Arkham City.I shall also be running applications like Microsoft O Office.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:60k to 65k,65k maximum

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:Yes both CPU and the GPU.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Windows x64 bit

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:1 to 1.5 tb

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:No,i have a Samsung Syncmaster 920NW,resolution 1440x900 max,16:10 aspect Ratio

Ans:Monitor,Speakers,Mouse and Keyboard and UPs

Ans:Yes i have built a desktop a few times..

Ans:I live in Lucknow,Uttar Pradesh.I am going to buy it locally from Naza Market.And Yes is some of the components are not available locally then i am going to buy it online or or if it is cheaper online..

^ OP don't need HD7870 if he plan on keeping the Samsung Syncmaster 920NW resolution 1440x900.

OP - Try to get a 22" or 24" 1080p/1920x1200 monitor.

Thanks everyone for your replies....I will upgrade my monitor to a 1920x1080 and add another HD 7870 after 6-7 months so that's not a problem.....i was wondering that a core i7 2600k wold be better or not for future proofing....it would be a great help if anyone knows the cost of these components in lucknow


And another question that why would i need a 1 KVA UPS for Oc'ing.....thanks again to everyone..

for gpu the stock fans of gpu may enough or add aside fan to cabinet

sai before suggesting certain motherboard did you look at reviews and the vfm
for midrange board nothing can beat the z77 extreme 4

Asrock Motherboads are not Available everywhere in our country. Only primeabgb has as per my knowledge. So I suggested him the next cheap one .

go to shop. write/print the config given by RiGOD in 4-5 different sheets of paper and give it to the shops. shopkeepers hate to check config list when others have already written down price or availability. so a few xerox'd copies will help. ask them what is available, what is not. return home. compare prices with that of flipkart, smcinternational, itwares, etc. then decide. don't make decision on the shop itself.
