subtitles

hey there.. Can we use VLC to load subtitles with VCD (DAT) file.. I mean..i have one .dat file and i was wondering if i can get the subtitles (i don't know where to get em will have to google it).. to play with VCD file without hardcoding it. I am not sure..but i heard somewhere that...

Ok, I have subtitles out of sync while playing somemovies.... sometimes because subtitles are downloaded..... they are for 1 file and i have 2 CD's or 3 CD's etc for a movie... so how do i get them in sync.... I know how to do this in Mplayer so if someone can tell me how to load...

hi, i have subtitles for movies separately in a .srt or .sub format and use the vobsub plugin to play in any of the media players. but i need to get the subs in my DVD/CD player. how can i import the subtitles directly to the movie itself so that there is no need for the subs file any more...

i have lots of DivX movies collection. I'm thinking of burning 3 to 4 movies in one DVD. If i burn them with their subtitles, will the latest DVD players supporting DivX subtitles be able to play them properly? Please suggest in case there is a better alternative.

Hi friends, I have a Samsung DVD-ROM Drive on P-III 869MHz, 128 Mb Ram and I use Cyberlink Power DVD that came bundled with my DVD drive. The problem is that subtitles are not matching to the voices in the movie. Either the subtitles are too fast ot too slow. How to correct this problem ?
