basically li-ion batteries tend to heat up a bit more with 2.0A charging but it depends on various factors like phone type etc
usb regulations ensure that even with a higher rated charger,the micro usb slot will only accept the max ampere as by the oem you most likely wont end up frying gadgets but the battery may still degrade a bit faster thanks to heat
ill try and look for the post later,i saw this in xda a few months ago
btw i wont worry about it much because by the time the battery will shows obvious signs of degradation ie 3-4 years or more,the phone will have already been replaced/lost/broken or something

Who cares at the end of two years or so many of us will be changing the battery or even putting the phone back in its box.
