Home use is a too much generic term for suggesting a good and balanced rig. For a Photographer, Home use can mean lots of Photo Editing and for a Movie lover, it is watching high quality Video with a good sound system and better Display. At least mention the type of usage you require.

If you are buying for home usage then don't you think both FX-8350 and i5 3470 are little overwhelming for your requirements. After all they are designed for high end gaming and exceptional multi-tasking and CPU intensive work respectively. I think you should get a AMD Trinity APU based configuration which will suit all your needs.

AMD A10-5800K (Unlocked, can be overclocked, 4 Cores, 3.8 GHz) @ 8K
Asus ASUS F2A85-M LE @ 5.7K
Integrated HD 7660D DirectX 11 GPU with 384 VLIW4 Cores
Corsair Vengeance 8GB X 1 1600 MHz DDR3 Ram @ 3K

rest will be same.

Dont intend to derail the thread but I recently bought an AMD A10 based configuration. I couldnt find A10 @ 8k anywhere nor could I find the CX430V @ 2300. I got the stuff from Lamington Road at below mentioned prices.

AMD A10-5800K -
Asus F2A85-M-LE - 14000 for combo
Corsair Vengenace 8GB 1600Mhz CL10 - 3250
WD Green 500GB - 3200
Asus DVD Writer - 1000
Corsair CX430 - 2800
NZXT Gamma - 2375

Also Should I have to go for 2 4GB sticks or a single 8GB stick?

Will there be any problem if i go with single 8gb ram stick as few of my friends are saying that it would cause decrease in performance are saying to go for 2 4gb sticks

@ Mojojojo

How is the performance of your pc,photoshop experience?whats your WEI?

Have you run any any benchmarks? If so are the scores as expected for that config?
