Got it. But I have to say, you're on BUYING SPREE :hyper:

* Whats that book about? And whats so special in it?
* Whats the use of a sim card reader? :-o

Hows the performance of your pen drive? If you can post its benchmark (real world read and write test) pls ?

not actually on a spree, but am a 'moderately heavy' online shopper, since i find it better to shop online rather than venture out and get bludgeoned on the streets & markets of mumbai , so every now & then you would find me here for stuff i ordered sometime back, and it arrives while am posting news about my latest purchase, and hence have got masala for the next post :)

and sujay this is the 2nd time you've reminded me something....feedback  thanks !

1. well, the book is about weight-training, nutrition & mental make-up/attitude, and is a must-have for weight-trainees/athletes, particularly in combo with this book, by the same author....sorry i didnt mention it earlier but had got this book too alongwith the 1st one shown :

*i.imgur.com/FYGKol.jpg

its a great amalgam of arnold's encylopaedia & its wealth of info, and almost old-school kind of training concepts of bill starr/mark rippetoe !

2. the sim-card reader is great for backing-up your contacts onto your PC. its a boon for me....i dont have to now worry about writing all those numbers in my contacts-diary now for emergency use lest the phone goes bad :)

3. the read/write speeds of the flash voyager are as follows :

plugged into USB 3.0 port :

Read - 39.40 MB/s
Write - 10.98 MB/s

plugged into USB 2.0 port :

Read - 11.2 MB/s
Write - 10.78 MB/s

4. @ sarath - the bungee is a simple thing....the only feedback for it would be that it does the job for which it was designed. holds the mouse-cord well, without tangling; doesnt get toppled or shaken with mouse movements, thanks to its heavy base. overall a nice accessory to have.

showtime now....gift, all the way from canada....

its a blu-ray movie (rather, work of art) named 'life cycles'....on bicyles....but regardless of whether you like cycling or not, or even you have never ridden a bicycle, this movie is a MUST-WATCH......shot in super-HD, with extremely scintillating and well-suiting soundtracks by ajay bhattacharya and others, this is purely a work of subtle art, the movie and narration having almost mystical tone. short, only ~1 hr, it will leave you wanting for more at the end. you'll definitely love it when you watch. do give it a try. you'll thank me later ;-)

damage - ~1.7k
available in DVD & Blu-ray formats. can only be bought directly from the makers' site; not available in india/stores.

here, can have a look at the trailer and other things.

thanks bajaj151 :)

and congrats to - tenida, debashish, nightmare (& his bro ;-) ), sumon, akshay

@tenida - that controller looks superb ! and the blower, am afraid to say isnt of much use. i have one, bought for the same purpose of cleaning keyboard/small stuff, but found it not very effective. and again, constantly pumping that thing after a while feels tiring ;-) i reverted to using my shaving-brush for cleaning keyboard, and things with small spaces/corners . yeah but the blower might come handy in some situations.

and what are the books about ?! sorry, me knows no bengali (only father knows).....and yes, Ma looks so lively and divinely beautiful on that cover. the artist has done a superb job !

@ nightmare - sorry, am noob'er' than noob when it comes to mobiles. but i still can appreciate that gorgeous looking galaxy :)

@ sumon - so you finally settled on the Z68. great ! hearty congrats  !

@ akshay - have you received it or just placed order now ?! dont forget the pics for us ;-)

see you guys for now then....heading to lamington road now ;-)

"moderately heavy" ?? :hyper:

You're most wc :)

But AFAIK sim has max memory for 250 contacts (64k sim, exception being BSNL sim having 500 contacts memory), and these days, i guess everybody has more contacts than 250. Plus why not back up contacts from phone? Its pretty easy.

Aren't speeds a bit low? I mean corsair Voyager drives are performance drives, so more speed is expected, especially write sppeds in USB 3.0 and read speeds in USB 2.0 ? correct me if i am wrong.

Bought a pack of Verbatim DVD+R DL with 10 discs @ 399/- from flipkart. So strange, no local shops sell cheap enough DL-DVDs..... :x

@ Rs.40/- per disc I think I should be happy. :-?
