Yup! Its great! But useless for anyone with blocked ports :(

Yeah. But even if your office conn port is blocked, you can still recieve data.
So if your home connection is fast enough you can stream your media collection from your Pc to the office Pc.

I am pretty sure that this will be favourite browser for hackers as it keeps ports open for streaming etc. :)

I half expected Opera would open the browser for third party plugin and tool development.

I knew that wasnt in the cards, and from the source code+twitter revelations was guessing it would be related to cloud computing.

But I really would like to see Opera getting extensions. Atleast in the restricted sense of Google Chrome rather than Fx. But something please.

opera is a complete browser and offers everything out of the box IMHO. - an irc client, adblock,CSS applier etc.

it doesn't require any extensions.

obviously , its a very good browser for sure ....but the add-ons really didn't appeal to me ...that's all. was just my personal opinion.

I think it's a great idea. Think of it as a collaborative notepad + web server + chat server/client + media server + file sharing app all integrated into your browser. AND all in the same size download as Firefox 3.5 Beta without addons and it uses the same amount of memory. Nothing that you couldn't do with 3rd party apps but it's all put together nicely. It's also really simple to use. They also seem to have gives users the option to develop their own services. I'll be keeping a close eye on this.

That file sharing function? Don't point it at your MP3 collection. Furthermore, how un-Democratic is that? Unite is supposed to free you from the cloud, but Opera gets to hold their finger over the red button?
