yahoo messenger virus

hey guys my yahoo msgr has been infected with a virus..it automatically sends msgs to everyone in the list w/a link and tells them to click it and check if its working...that link goes to a virus...
and this is how my status appears...

It looks more like a yahoo booter with automated PM thing!
U may uninstall the yahoo messenger completely and install a fresh one, try the latest yahoo messenger. A clean install wud be preferable!
If the problem still exists, restore the system to earlier times and do a virus scanning!

@nix, Your PC is infected with 'w32.KMeth' worm. This worm downloads and installs itself through infected website (java script). Then it replicates itself through Yahoo Messenger. It uses yahoo contact list and provides a infection link.

Solution:
1.Use on-line Scanner from Bit-defender. *www.bitdefender.com/scan8/
or
2.Install Spybot and scan entire system.

This should solve your problem.
