The method is similar to that of the Phenom II X3 unlock: using flaws in BIOS code to enable cores, by enabling the "Advanced Clock Calibration" feature in the BIOS setup. The OS, Windows XP SP3, was able to see the processor as a "AMD Phenom(tm) FX-7750", while CPU-Z reads the name string correctly and lists the core count as 4. We are trying to gather more information about this, especially about the name string, and will keep you updated. Details on the rest of the system (the motherboard) is not provided, though you can conclude it is based on an AMD chipset with SB750 southbridge, since that's the only qualified platform with ACC support.

So a Biostar 790GX motherboard, which comes for Rs. 4,500, is good enough!!!!

Biostar 790GX + SB750 @ 4.5k

A quad core combo for Rs. 8,000.

I think all will be possible, cuz with II X3, only the l8er batches were unlockable. Phenom X2 has been here for a while, so I expect positive results only.

Let's wait for more confirmation.

WoW! Now that's a great news. A quad core proc for only Rs. 3.5K

But, It's sounds fishy.

They made that proc quad core by bios hack but why the hell they have not provided the mobo details. They posted a cpu-z screenshot on proc but why they have not post a screenshot of the mobo tab. Strange.

Why they have not benchmarked it with a dual core 7750 ?

So it's very unclear :

What's the stability ? How far it will benefit from that quad core hack ?

And there is no proc liusted as phenom fx-7750 in amd website ? So I doubt very much if it's true & think it's a fake photoshop image.
