Never heard of this title? Don't be amazed, I didn't either. I happened to check out this title while looking at the upcoming releases for this month. I have no clue what the storyline is this game about, so please don't bother. All I know is that this is a hack-en-slash (or action-adventure) title. Looks more like a DMC clone but only with a female protagonist. Since yours truly happens to be a big fan of this genre, I just had to get it.

The game presents you with it's lead character, Ayumi, a scantily clad chick, who is apparently an adventurer in search of hidden artifacts. No she isn't your Japanese version of Lara Croft but she can still kick some butt. Since I just started off with this game, I have very little things to offer about this game. If you like Hack-en-Slash genre then pick this up. It's not even close to DMC games but still pretty decent. The soundtrack is just kickass.

Good news for those with low end systems, this game should easily run on them as well. It's brilliantly optimised & runs @90Fps with everything set to it's max. I have even heard people with 8600GT are easily able to play it at 1680x1050 resolution. I'll be leaving you with a couple of screenshots for the time being. Rest updates, as and when, I play the game. ;)

Like I mentioned, I just had about 10-15 minutes of playtime. So wouldn't be able to comment much about it. The default sword attacks are pretty standard & there is no variation. Guns are auto-locked onto the nearest enemies. I got the opportunity to grab a spell power of "Earthquake", wherein Ayumi can rise in the air & just drop to the ground with a massive shockwave. This eliminates hordes of enemies. I guess in later parts you are able to upgrade your moves & also the spell powers.

It's pretty similar to DMC's gameplay. So you won't have much of a problem adapting to it. Plus the tutorial is very accurate. You can also visit their official website which has provided detailed info on every aspect of the game.

Hey thanks for this!!! I saw this in some game centre but couldnt get the title of the game :)

BTW if you like diablo-style games, try www.avencast.com its pretty good, just finished the game.

This game is not like to be discussed in any forum. Because this is the worst game I have ever played. You better stop playing games but don't buy this game.

Well it's nothing close to DMC's league. That game is just miles apart. X-blades is like playing to kill time. It doesn't seem to have variation in it's blade attacks. The spells are pretty interesting to upgrade but gets boring after a while. The boss & the enemies are lame as hell. Soundtrack, like I mentioned before, is quite good. The voice acting & animation is extremely juvenile. I completed the game with the bad ending. Wish they would bring titles like Ninja Gaiden 2 on the PC rather than this junk.

Well it's was garbage compared to other hack-en-slash title that I have played. It gets heavily repetitive after a while & you'll just get bored killing the same enemies 10 times over. When you jump, it actually feels like a floating Barbie doll. Beowulf was way better than this game albeit it's stuttering issues.
