I have jumped the wagon and I am using windows 7 on desktop and windows 8.1 on lappy

BTW whats 2 months of life for xp ...after that it will blow off all the PC using it ....its just the update and patch which wont come.

Even in my win7 and win 8 systems, I have turned updates OFF. Not because of piracy but updates eat up lots of system space. XP is great, when you zoom, pictures do not get pixlated

And vulnerabilities does not matter much because anybody hack into my system will get only music and movies. In case of any issue I will format C: drive. I forgot to mention the most important of all, it eats up all my data quota.

no need to give a facepalm as update backup eats up sufficient space unless you delete it.
