i dont think microsoft will stop supporting Xp next year cos in that case its no use taking out SP3.

what i have read somewhere is that next year microsoft will stop selling XP.

yeah maybe nxt year you may nt be able to buy.. i dont care

but know what, windows 2000 SP4 was also realeased barely a year ago..

so its no criteria saying that MS will support it more cuz just released a new SP...

Xp is their money making machine right now.so until vista gets a firm grip in market..they wont stop..selling.
My guess.
But coupled with gates leaving next year, who knows what will happen

they must hurry up windows vienna.

they must remove support for xp coz even the basic vista sells for 2wice as xp.so they must iron out the pitfalls in vista and let's say develop a new software only for vista like ie8 or new visual engine which will hype vista sp1 again.
