which mobile best under Rs.20k..? Galaxy vs Optimus vs Nokia 701. Help me guys.......

Guys... I really need ur suggestion buying a mobile for my friend working in infosys, mysore. He has Airtel SIM.

My Budget: Rs.18k-20k (I cant increase)
What i want:
1)Touch screen
2)Good battery backup
3)any OS, either symbian or Android
4)want for long use for 2years
5)must have 3G video calling
6)if Android, can i upgrade later to v3, sandwich icecream?
7)Mobile that dont hangs
I've checked these mobiles on Google only, never used these. So whats ur suggestion.

LG Optimus Black
LG optimus 2x

I don't think LG optimus 2x is in your budget. Second if Battery Backup is very Important to you then any android phone will not give you Backup more then day (10-12 hours max)if you use it fully..

It is Android v4 Icecream sandwich

SE Neo V is best phone under 20K mark IMO

Since your friend doesn't care about the os, Nokia 701 might be worth looking at. Its the fastest symbian phone, and will get updates . Battery backup is also quite good.

If android, then neo would be good. Confirmed update to ics. Samsung hasn't confirmed about galaxy s.

My first and only Android option in that price range would be Samsung Nexus S... Its my dream phone and will get the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich update before other OEM devices...

Also, check out Samsung Omnia W which is in your friend's budget. It is a WP7 based phone and is awesome... Highly recommended...

I don't know how Nokia 701 Symbian Bella overall experience compares with Android, but I wouldn't bet on it...

Indeed, its selling for 22k at adexmart. Go for it if you can.

I agree, but nexus s is kinda hard to find these days.

Belle is rather smooth. It just doesn't have huge app catalog like android.

Actually, the Optimus 2x is within his budget. It is available for 19k(with coupon) or 20k(without coupon) in letsbuy.com. Undoubtedly the best option in this segment. Its slightly buggy software can be fixed by flashing a custom ROM like CM7. Will also get ICS update via CM9 as well as officially.

I have not used the coupon but it actually reduce the amount after coupon applied...ultimately after that screen u go for payment..soo I think it works (only on products costing 2k and above)

But on the next page when u select any payment method other than "American Express" it says : Coupon is only valid for American Express payment method

Today Letsbuy issued a coupon of 5% Off on its homepage(LB5POFF) but it also doesn't work on all product...
