I am a gamer too, and if u look at most of my suggestions too, i have suggested a CRT Monitor, but that was a few months back, these few months have seen a lot of change, we have monitors with good response time, and u can surely get a good LCD monitor, 19" for around 16k, so this post of mine, though answeres none of your questions, but there's my suggestion.

    Hello

I don't have any specific budget but i need the best buy for
    17" CRT under 5K

If there is any good 19" CRT available i will can increase the budget by (1-3)K

But i m not interested in investing more than 5K on 17" CRT
So plz tell me is which monitor will be the best for 17" screen under 5K (or may be under 6K)

and one more ques , is there any for 19" under 7K (or may be 8K)

    thanks

I'll disagree! I have been using Viewsonic 17" TFT Monitor for more than a year now.. Its response Time is 4ms.. I do a fair bit of gaming.. And i dont see any probs with a TFT monitor when compared 2 a CRT monitor!!

Also, with the price that u hav quoted.. CRT 19" for around 13K.. TFT is a better choice considering that it retails for around 16K for a 19" with 2ms or 4 ms response time!
