4chan, reddit and then tumblr(if you know who to follow). These are god sites. Most OC comes from here, then spreads to other sites
Lol. Are you kidding me. All they do is copy stuff from reddit and pass it off as their own. They even change the time to show that it came on 9gag before reddit. They also rig votes to show that their content is more popular.
That site is really run by a sorry bunch of losers.

4chan even DDOS attacked their site several times because of this.

9GAG copies from many places, and also doesn't give credit to the creator and on top of that, brands the content with their name. That's why I dont like it much.
You probably have no problem with people stealing other people's content.
On sites like tumblr or reddit, people create content themselves and make memes or share pictures from stuff they experience first hand. All 9gag does is steal those stuff, put their own brand on it and show that they created it. There is no good community to speak of since most of the votes are rigged.
Trust me, imgur.com is much better and trust me, the stuff you see on imgur will turn up on 9gag after a few hours.
Also, Reddit has a lot more variety of content than 9gag.

Also reddit is a lot cleaner than 9gag and more organised than 4chan.
4chan is a completely anonymous imageboard. You don't even have to register to post stuff there. Needless to say, people post random and weird stuff at times. But 4chan is where 99% of all memes on the internet originate.
Reddit is like a more well disciplined and organized younger brother of 4chan. Subreddits are moderated and you can create throwaway accounts to contribute content without getting involved too much.
