want to buy new DVD Writer

Hello all,
I had a dvd writer of LG now that is not functioning properly, that only plays cds not able to play DVD as it has to be...
so I think to buy a new one.
Now I am wants some advice from you for that.
My main requirement:- the dvd player must have to play all the DVDs.

Even I bought an LG writer a couple of months back & a few days after that bought a Samsung!!Both working fine!!

As per your requirement,the dvd player must have to play all the DVDs
you can go for Samsung or LG..

Get LG but for some reason if don't want to get it buy Samsung.

Avoid Sony, Asus, Liteon ( quality degraded ), Moserbaer DVD RW drives.
