1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:Games like fifa, batllefiled and all latest games to come and general stuff.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:Under 35000 and max.40000
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:No
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans:Most probably Window 7
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans:1 Tb
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:No,I have a monitor. 15.0 inch diagonal and resolution is 1024 x 768.
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:mouse,keyboard,speakers
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:1-2 months
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:By assembler
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:I live in India and i will stuff locally.
11. Anything else which you would like to say?

- Upgrading my computer under Rs.35000 - Computer - Systems

That monitor is not at all good. Any graphic chip other than theat of IGP is overkill for that resolution.

i3 3220 (7000)
Gigabyte B75MDH3 (4000)
Corsair Value select 4 GB (1900)
Asus GTX650ti 2 GB (10000)
WD blue 1 TB (3900)
Corsair CX430v2 (2600)
NZXT Gamma (2500)
Dell ST2240L 22" IPS FHD monitor (8500)

total: ~40000

Does anyone know when Haswell is coming out. I just prices for Haswell CPUs. If OP wants to buy in couple of months time, he might wait for Haswell to release.

It will release near May, maybe in My-June. Then it will take further two months to come to India.

Well, lets try to reduce the price of that config...

> i3 3220, no, anything below that is just not worth it. NO better alternatives at the same price.
> Gigabyte B75M DH3, is se sasta motherboard is duniya mei kahain :p
> Corsair value select 4 GB, hmm, maybe you cn save Rs.100 by getting 1333 MHz version instead of 1600 MHz version.
> Asus GTx650ti, well, get HD7770 available for 8k instead. 2k saved.
> ED blue 1 TB, no savings here.
> Corsair cx430v2, umm, again, no savings here.
NZXT Gamma, you may get CM elite 310 aailable fr 1800 instead, but then you'll have to sacrifice on build quality, ventillation adn cable management.

finally:

i3 3220 (7000)
Gigabyte B75MDH3 (4000)
Corsair Value select 4 GB (1800)
HD7770 (8000)
WD blue 1 TB (3900)
Corsair CX430v2 (2600)
CM Elite 310 (1800)
Dell ST2240L 22" IPS FHD monitor (8500)

^ Buddy, the difference between an HD7770 and a GTX 660ti can still be beard, but the difference between 1600x900 adn 1920x1080 is just unbearable IMO.

yes 1080p is good.but for monitor compromising gpu is not so good for gaming.hd 7770 can,t handle games at high @1080p while gtx 650ti seems good match to 900p.

while dell In2030m is still a very good led for budget

@op if you have budget of getting 1080p monitor and gtx 650ti both then go with it

My suggestion is to go for a true quad core, not the dual Core HT CPU like i3 3220. I think all of you have gone through the Far Cry 3 and Crysis 3 review and especially in Crysis 3, I think you haven't miss the CPU performance chart. The Dual Core i3 3220 which used to be so much superior in gaming over AMD budget quad cores, is getting hammered by even the Trinity quad core APUs. A10-5800K has a whopping 16 FPS advantage over it and FX-4170 has more than 20 FPS advantage. It is pretty clear now that game developers are making the games more multi-threaded and hence it is taking the advantages of multiple cores. If you check the Tomshardware's every Month's CPU recommendation, you will find that they are also suggesting Quad Core CPU for minimum.

So, OP should either go with i5 3470 or FX 8350 as both are similarly priced.

Here is the CPU performance chart for Crysis 3:-

@cilus: commo'n man. You know op is currently having a monitor with a resolution of 1024x768. So rather than spending money in getting a true quad core chip and a poor graphic card, it would be much much better to suggest op to get a fhd monitor instead.

I guess you are forgetting the fact that at lower resolution, games become more CPU dependent and a good CPU is very much needed. And by looking at OP's different posts, it is clear that he is gonna upgrade his Monitor sooner. By Just spending 3.5K, he can secure an i5 3470 and I think he should go for it.
