Well,i have something interesting. I was about to send a mail to reliance customer care third time to complain about my slow internet speed. And i thought, may be it will be a good idea to share it with my forum friends.
So, i will be sharing all mails and call transcripts of my communication with reliance and hence will be an example for other members and customers out there to learn from it.

so here is the mail no 1, day 1

Dear sir,
I have a postpaid Reliance broadnet connection with following details
customer account no: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Reliance internet service user ID: XXXXXXX
Plan name: XXXXXXX
Location:pune

This is my third complain by e-mail and by far 5th complain including telephonic complain. I am very satisfied with quality of your service, its almost same as my friends had advised me, pathetic.
i am paying over Rs. 1200 per month for 400 kbps, which is supposed to provide me one Eigth download speed, that is around 50 kbps. But thanks to your service, for last 3-4 months, i have been getting speed as low as 3-4kbps, and i must compliment you, thats consistent.

Now, as i know you will advice me to go to command prompt and flush DNS cache, or may be clear cookie. I do it almost 10 times a day, still no good.

So, as i presume you are running out of options,let me suggest a few.

1)Send your engineer to some technical school to learn to trouble shoot problems.

2)Send me proper reason for deficiency of service. I am an engineer and will certainly appreciate if its genetically technical fault.

3)And if you are unable to solve the problem in a week please disconnect my service and don't expect me to pay for services i never got. hence, its logical to expect from you to not to send me the bill for the same. I am determined to not to pay the bill will take the matter to consumer court if i am prompted even a single time.

lets commercialise it, well i request you to leave comment with suggestions and negations what ever you feel like is necessary.

Let the customer rule

lol...you're are really pissed off with this aren't you....these companies should be banned for no good..

Same experience with Reliance. The muppets took a whole week to set up my connection and in the end activated the wrong plan. Their technicians are trained in ONE standard procedure and they resort to it no matter what (flush DNS, ipconfig /release and renew, cookies, default settings for IE). The idiot who came to set up my connection promptly identified my LAN card as the culprit when he couldn't get the connection online. He checked it on his laptop and the connection wasn't established there as well. I quipped - 'iska bhi LAN card kharab hai?' :D

almost all the 'technicians' across all companies are unaware of a lot of things...its only a handful of people who know their job properly...

and @INS-ANI .. what do you think the guys are Reliance do ? They'll at most read it and finally delete it. [and you may be lucky to get an auto generated reply as well but beyond that nothing will happen.]

well,i must congratulate myself, thats the fourth time i have got a complain ID from reliance, all for same problem. thats the max i have achieved in my life.

they did call within the one hour and told me to check speed. Unfortunately, at that time i was on expressway speeding at over 90kmph.When i got home, my roommate told me for , like 30 mins or so he saw the good old days again.

the present status:back to normal..10-15kbps speed.
Man this company has no ethics. When one says sorry, that means they are determined to not to do it again. I have learnt a contrary definition here.
Long live reliance. No wonder India is ranked 100+ in internet connection. and the worst, i don't get what an average indian get.
man this is pathetic...if you talk abt internet speed , i belong to BPL.

Dear sir,

As you mentioned in the mail i did receive a call from your technical department in afternoon. However at that time i was for work.
at around 10pm when i checked speed, it was back to normal..ie 10 kbps.
I request you to consider escalating the matter to your management team as well, if your technical team fails again to resolve the problem.

Frankly speaking, i feel like i am just wasting my time. But since it is pain in the A## to disconnect a connection and get another, i would rather try for a week or so. But one thing is for sure, i am going to defame them to a limit, untill i get a defamatory notice from reliance:oops:. Ah..well consider this statement as kinda symbolic.

I hope digit editor may consider taking similar issues in next edition.

no BSNL no reliance in my town

There is one ISP in my area, my Cable waala, and he says that he can give 512kbps UL for Rs.900. :D

I must say I am quite satisfied with my ISP. I pay Rs.750 (including taxes) for my 256 kbps UL and also get cable TV free in that :D ... So in Rs.750 I get the BB as well as 80+ channels. What more do you want! :)

Rs.1200 for a 400 kbps plan . omg.

My ISP Provides me with 512kbps Night Unlimited In which i get 60+KBps Download Speed.I only pay 500+taxes for it.

Consumer court provides even worse service than reliance, i wonder if that will help me in short term. here i am looking for an immediate solution.
I may go for consumer court once my daily schedule becomes quite loose.

Unfortunately, all other serivce providers in my area charge more or offer even poorer service. and hathway or even YOU tele doesnt provide service in my area.
They will provide service as soon as i leave this city.

^^I don't think so... Consumer courts are faster.. And maybe your problem will be fixed once the complain reaches the consumer court.. You may not have to wait for the verdict.. If you wait, then you might get some compensation from Reliance :)
