i had changed my system a year ago but my system crashes a lot with blue screen or just starts darn slow and restarts withought reason and gives error of hard drive failure and since 6 months as i am not using it now i want to change my hard disk and i am confused 250 gb or 500 gb hard disk will suit my motherboard which is of As-rock ! pz help !

btw 250gb or 500GB shouldn't be a problem.so you can go ahead and buy 500GB HDD.but better you post your complete rig config first.
