Suspected mobo failure, need replacement.

Hi, recently my psu died and i'm suspecting that it might have taken the mobo along with it to yamlok.
I have set aside 3k for the psu. But i'm not sure which mobo to buy. All the ones which suit the config in my sig are like 4k and above.
So please suggest a mobo for my x2 4400+ am2 socket.
I'm looking for the following main features.
4 sata ports, 4 dimm, 6ch audio. PcieX16 @X16
I want 4dimm slots because i currently have 2 and may upgrade later on. Also having less than 4sata ports can become a real problem later.
Please suggest me a mobo which is not more than 4k cause even 4k is too much for me right now.

@ op - i'd suggest you to visit newegg website and mark your requirements at the mobo search tile at left of your screen.
I kno its a lame advice bt i think there might be too many mobos to list 'em here.

^^even if he finds a MoBo hows he gonna get it shipped from US?I mean shipping charges r gonna b arnd 1200 bucks!!

arre yaar, most boards found in US (newegg) are available here also. yes some mayn't be available but most will be. so just list the board & search them locally. think logical ;-)

And btw, if even if you multiply the products cost over newegg.us by 50(1 US $ ~ 45 Rupees actually), you'd find that most boards here ar 2-2.5k costlier.
Boy imma go US & get miself a stock of those and sell em o'er 'ear on ebay.in at double cost. (provided i get past airport security.)...

@op, i think primeabgb provids a same feature aswell. Not sure though.

Hmm..I followed tht method 3yrs bk when I had bot my previous sytem(Athlon X2 4400+ n ASUS M2N-MX-SE)..I had searched newegg for good AM2 MoBos for arnd 4-5k n OH BOY trust me - did I find a list!!I found at least 7-8 MoBos of so many different c/os(Foxconn,EVGA,ASRock n the usuals).But when I went to local dealer couldn't get anything other than Asus M2N-MX-SE.Thats y I was skeptical of ur reply!!Anyways may be after 3 yrs things mite hv changed,aint it?

Goddamn mobo warranty does in jan. My monitor is also away for replacement due to backlight bleeding and i also need a new psu.
On top of all these things my pc itself is 2000 km away from me. Another added fact, today i could not get a railway ticket to go back home in jan. Went to the most famous electronics shop in town to buy camera batteries but could not find them.
Last but not the least, while coming back from my little tour it started raining and i was on the highway in the middle to nowhere and got completely drenched.

Are you sure the mobo is a goner?
Can someone check it and get it rmaed if not ok?

Please check the CPU support list for the ASUS M2N68-AM PLUS. (2.3K approx)
Only 2 RAM slots though.

i too used same method for finding motherboard & cabinet. but went for the one listen on my siggy as Biostar board's weren't available & MSI was a bit costly.
