Suspected mobo failure, need replacement.

I've herd problems related to build quality. My friend ssb1551's mobo was a good example.

Yeah the damn CPU retention bracket came off!!..couldn't even find a replacement!!

That's very unfortunate indeed.
Did you take the motherboard to the Rashi service centre and what did they say?

^^this is a common problem we have heard on this forum. asus quality is degraded. best avoid them.

No of issues may seem high even if the percentage is less as ASUS does sell in huge volumes.
There might have been some issues with entry-level mobos earlier but the mid range and high end ones have been very good afaik and even the entry-level ones look pretty good now.
ASUS is also offering burnt and corrosion warranty on all motherboards now - E.L.I.T.E. Service
If you guys see any issues, please do start a thread for the same.
