I need a smartphone strictly below INR9000.
Preferred:- Video calling

1. Budget?
Strictly below 9K
2. Display type and size?
Touchscreen ONLY. No specific size required. Preferred - Capacitive.
3. Form Factor? bar, slider, flip?
Bar preferred.
4. Preferred choice of brand?
International brands, i.e. Nokia, Sony, Samsung, LG, HTC...
5. Preferred input method (QWERTY, touchscreen, numpad, touch-n-type).
NO QWERTY/Numpad. Only touchscreen.
6. What camera option you want? Please specify need for flash, autofocus, front facing camera.
Front facing for video calling.
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
Any OS. Will prefer the OS which is easier to operate.
8. Preferred connectivity options (3G, Wifi etc)Please specify clearly.
3G and Wi-fi REQUIRED.
9. Preferred applications (Flash, Swype, GPS, etc)?
GPS preferred.
10. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, mails, internet, gaming etc)?
Multimedia and camera. No mails ever.


11. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Nokia C5-03, Asha 311, Asha 305.
Samsung Star 3 Duos, Wave Y.
Micromaxx A80,A73.

HTC Explorer. Else look for Android from Spice or Micromax. Don't buy STAR or Asha. Not worth the pricetag.

EDIT: Do check Motorola Fire.

if you are considering micromax then do look at I don't know model number but which has 5 inch screen all good feature I believe under 10K it is 9K something..

check Homeshop 18 thread some one has posted offer for htc explorer at 7K around.

my suggestion and recommendation is to wait collect more and buy mobile at least around 15K..

IMO its not good if go to andoriod less than ICS because after some time old software will go.

so its better to buy ICS enabled mobile

just 1 -2 days ago micromax a100 is launched take look into it have 3g dual sim and 5mp camera i think.

I personally not used micromax ever but other users will surely guide u
