Sleeping Laptop

I have a Dell L502X with Windows 7 Home Premium. My power settings are such that laptop would never go to sleep while on AC, and if I close the lid, only screen is supposed to be turned off.

If I close the lid, and keep it that way for about 20 minutes, the only way to regain laptop's consciousness would be to reboot it using power button. I never noticed it until recently that even if I keep the lid open, the screen goes dim after 5 mins (That's ok, it's in settings) but keeping it so for too long would result in a similar problem, the screen's contents freeze and only option is reboot.

Earlier running uTorrent wouldn't allow it to go into such state, so I never really noticed, newer uTorrent versions don't seem to prevent sleep even when I have set my network adapter settings to prevent the computer from falling asleep. I have to keep running WMP in background, as a result.

One more thing - I don't think that the laptop is actually sleeping, as when it actually sleeps the power button keeps blinking which is not the case with these freezes.

EDIT:
My Event Viewer keeps logging a Event ID 300 Error

Would you like to have a previous version of Utorrent in your system ? :p just joking.

Is it possible for you to post a screenshot of "Advanced power option" you are currently running. ? If yes , then please do it.

Also ,If possible try running the laptop in "Clean Boot" or "basic startup only " mode using "msconfig" for once.See if it still freezes , and post the results afterwards.

Looks like your hard drive goes into sleep state after 20 min and is unable to wake.
When u run utorrent it doesn't allow hd to go into sleep mode. You can change this behavour in power settings.
