Well for one thing my Chemistry score in 12th was 95/100.

So that explains I was decent in it. Organic chemistry was my fav. Then Physical and then Inorganic (it was a bit tricky).

But I have not touched chemistry in a while, I do have given tuitions before. So lets see.

T, what is your profile?

Besides, I tell u one thing.Go for advertising. U r best in it. (Was in my mind for a long time, aj mauka mila to bol dia)

If for some extra bucks, go for it.
BE in IT :p

But advertising is most of the time deception. And thats where I see it wrong.
I will see if I can find something in it ;)

Wire muncher!
So am sitting idle at my home, just doing nothing all day. Now there is one vacancy for a temporary teacher in Chemistry for class 11 and 12.

Should I take the job ? :D

Zomg.. zomg.. do some good to the students and take up the job! I dunno about your batch but at least our batch suffered without a Chem teacher. Tho I was there only till I completed my 11th, you must be knowing about the sorry state of the Chem and Maths teacher, remember? :D

After your batch John sire came in the middle of year, and saved the class from disaster.
Though Maths was still the same but a bit improved.

Teaching is a blessed profession !

"In a completely rational society, the best of us would be teachers and the rest of us would have to settle for something else."

Got it from some website.

Go ahead. Good Luck.

And what NucleusKore mentioned is 100% true.

Well, let the teacher himself speak something !

T, you will need to be good at concepts and explaining it the easier way. You thus need to have a lot of patience because not all students undertsand it the first time. You need to be creative in devising multiple examples for a same concept because different students understand better with different examples.

Voice tone, volume, mood, etc.(voice modulation/culture) may be considered if your voice is not fit for teaching or you plan to take-it up as a profession. Your voice plays a very important role in teaching. If you can't speak like a teacher, you will be trashed!

That you scored 95/100 in chem is no deciding factor if you will be a good teacher. Teaching is different from learning, memorizing. I have seen IITians being shown the door and average-scorers being welcomed!

If you are going there for pocket money, you better write your blog.

Your advice will win him a hard kick on his butt.

Its a great experience.
I am also working as lecturer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry to undergraduate students and I am enjoying this job. (and I am not a Bakara;)) If you give them what they want (off course lessons;)) they are very happy and you will get more happiness then.

well...it goes into the grave. A degree is required to officially get the post (knowledge is second consideration). Am on waiting list now :/
I ain't gettin another degree.

Teaching is definitely a great experience. Believe me, I am only 17, but I did take a few classes for a kid in 10th and both I definitely enjoyed the experience. It gives some sort of self satisfaction. In my case, I could help someone achieve something which I was unable to achieve due to the fact that I myself didn't get anyone who could understand what my problem was, and it felt great when I saw the look on his face, when he came to me and told me that thanks to me, he stood 1st in the class.

Not just that, teaching him somehow made ME better than I was before. It gave me skills which nobody can teach - analytical and out-of-box thinking, ability to look at stuff from someone else's prespective, and most importantly, it taught me how to teach myself without getting distracted.

but u r BE right??
BE is not considered as a degree or they want specialist in Chem?
a degree in chemistry  Actually there is already a temporary teacher but she's horrible (some students approached me and said that if I could take the classes instead). I have already taught physics, chemistry and computer sci to some students last year at home.
