Hi all,

I am using a valid windows xp sp2 on my 4 yr old dell inspiron 510m notebook.
with 1.6gHz Centrino CPU, 768 Mb RAM, 40 GB hard disk and intel integrated graphics.

use my laptop for surfing net and studying.

I searched reviews of Sp3 on net , and this is what I found:

for some users it speeded up the system, decreased the boot time.

however, some guys were very dissatisfied with sp3. it caused frequent blue screens of death, freezes, program errors etc.

I use adobe acrobat professional 8, firefox 3, nero 8 premium, MS word 2002, utorrent etc.

should I install SP3 on my machine??
how much space will it take on the hard disk?

thanks a lot

I will suggest you to install SP3. I am using it, and XP with SP3 is excellent. And if SP3 gives you any problem, just restore your windows XP. A restore point is automatically created with SP3 installation.

Service Packs are an essential update to an operating system. And I haven't faced any problems whatsoever with my PC after the update...
