I have a query regarding saving yahoo mails .
I usually save emails using the save as option ( i use IE and os =win98se) .Later when offline, opening the file opens IE with the error!
page not found message.but when i open the same file with edit wth
word option ,it displays the saved page.but sometimes i am able to
view the saved mail just by opening the file. why is it so ?? any ideas ?

The best way to take a backup of yahoo mails is to use YahooPOPs from *yahoopops.sourceforge.net and download mails to your outlook express. To find out how to take Outlook Express backup, go here

I guess when the content is in the cache, you are able to view the text. But once the content expires, the page refreshes on loading and you are not able to view it as you are disconnected from the net.
Another reason could be, that javascript getting executed which refers to objects which are valid only when you are online. This could throw errors such as page not found.

My suggestion is when ever you want to save emails for future reference, click the printable view option and print it to a virtual pdf printer. That way you can view the pdf file whenever you want. try www.pdf995.com :)
