PSU blown

The PSU in my PC just blew up this morning when I tried to turn it on. There was a thick white smoke coming out of it. Just gave it to kaizen infoserve for RMA, guys are my other parts also gone? Or are they safe..

What could be the reason behind it exploding like this? Specs are mentioned in my sig. I also need a suggestion for a UPS which can support this configuration for atleast 5 minutes in case of a power failure.

Thank you.

for ups, go for apc 600va or 1100va if you need more back up. is there some burned marks on your mobo or so? i assume , your other pc components are fine.

no idea about other pc components. will the 600va suffice for this pc, because in my older 600va ups, the pc used to always shut down in case of power failure.
