Just the PSP would've been fine actually. Its a complete portable multimedia powerhouse. It can play games (duh!), playback music (sound quality is as good as iPod), playback videos (supports more formats than iPod and display is bigger and better as well), it has wi-fi and internet browser and you can also play multiplayer games with other PSP owner with the wi-fi. Plus for gaming, the design of PSP is absolutely great. I'll prefer the physical buttons over the virtual buttons on a touch screen anyday. Plus the PSP has a great collection of games which is increasing everyday.
So IMO, the PSP is much better than any iPod and a much more complete device and also offers more bang for the buck. It retails for the same price as an 8gb iPod Nano, but still packs much more under the hood (except for the memory which can be expanded in PSP).
