problem with dial up connection

am connecting internet through my mobile with winxp sp2 and now i formatted my system and installed winxp sp3 now dial up connection is not working show error as 718 remote computer is not responding in a timely manner but now i tried in winxp sp2 its connecting without any problem but not working in sp3 am sure that installed the proper driver and turned off firewall what may be the problem

Its because your windows XP SP3 is not genuine and contains many unwanted scripts.

Install windows SP2

afaik, 718 is a serverside problem, it should fix itself.
