I placed my order using registered mail. And it should arrive today or tomorrow. I think registered mail just might be more economical.

The packaging should be absolutely fine. It is usually handled by the retailer. Regd. Mail is safe enough but the shipping cost of a standard regd. mail package generally increases faster than a EMS/Priority package, so after a certain order size it makes more sense to go EMS. I went for EMS because it was only ￥300 more expensive than standard for the time difference of 10 - 14 days. If I had placed an even larger order EMS could have ended up being cheaper.
I'd recommend seeing the shipping estimates and then deciding whether paying the extra for express is worth it or not. It probably won't be for something like a single UDF, but probably will be for a larger order like the one I placed.

Untracked standard is ￥７６０ while tracked, express is ￥１１００。 In this case it would be worth it. I'd rather pay Rs. 200 extra and get it tracked and have it reach me faster than risk the order being lost/delayed/damaged.
I'd still recommend ordering 2 - 3 items at the least so that the shipping doesn't kill your wallet. Tis better to pay ￥２０００ shipping for 3 items at once, even if you have to wait a little before ordering than paying ￥３３００, ￥１１００ thrice.
When SAL is significantly cheaper by say ￥１０００、 the order value usually is high enough to justify the costs. Its up to you to decide whether or the extra amount is worth it.

thanks for the reply. Now lets say I wanna order 2 or maybe 3 figurines. What shipping method do I use. SAL, EMS or some other. I'd prefer to track/safer option.
If safety is your highest priority then definitely EMS.
