Congrats to all who got their new goodies. Sharad, the review is coming after I root the device and install Google Play. However, battery life is very good with Wifi/3G on and the display is really good with superb Viewing angle. It comes with Blue Tooth 3.0 and the transfer rate when paired with another BT 3.0 device is far faster. I tested with my friend's Galaxy SII. 1 GB DDR3 Ram + Dual Core A9 really works and runninng multiple apps is really not a problem here.
Another thing is what I have heard from Tkin that Micromax FunBook does not work with Portable USB powered HDDs unless an external power source (through multi socket USB Cable....one for connection and another for power), due to the small battery. However, in HCL Y2, that is not a problem, thanks to its 4000 maH battery. I have tested it with my Seagate 320 GB USb 2.0 and WD 1 TB USB 3.0 HDDs and both ran without any problem.
Thanks to its quad Mali 400 GPU, it can play any kind of HD Video... I tested some of the 1080P 60 Fps HD Videos, converted by me using MediaCoder with extreme quality Preset (5 Ref Frames and 5 B frames, High Proile with level 5.1 level, Physovisual enhancement, CABAC optimization, not playable by most of the BD Players and HD TVs) and they worked like charm.

There is certain problem with Opera Mini with this device, so don't use it. Since I'm using 7.2 Mbps Aircell 3G connection, I am using Opera Mobile which is better suited for high speed connection and it works without any issues. Browsing is real fast. Also the Integrated Mailing Client is very good, tested with 2 Gmail and one Yahoo account. Syncing is real fast, faster than my Motorola Defy Plus.
Today going to test the Wifi Hotspot capability and will post the result.

@ashintomson.. Mileage in the city is around 32 kmpl.. Will be better on the highway. But actual mileage will be figured out after the first service, although I've completed 800 km in 15 days :D

Can u please test 3G Signal reception quality? Does this model support voice calling from sim?
The 3G u said you're using is from SIM or external dongle? Does it have a volume rocker? I'm planning to buy it.
How's the rooting process so far? :D

Buddy, it has a Sim card slot with 3G support and you can call as well as surf net using the Sim. One good news, today I have successfully rooted this device and installed Google Play. Took almost 14 hours, started work at 9 A.M and finished at 11. Since there was no guide, went through 100 of guides and ultimately created my own way to do that, combining several approaches from several guides. Now everything is working like charm. Will post a detailed guide soon, now enjoying everything what I've done.

Back to school!!
I am planning to purchase gaming mouse keyboard & mousepad
Budget - 8000 max
Plz suggest some good once.
Keyboard: Logitech G110(with backlight), if backlight not important go for Razer Blackwidow with mechanical keys. @ 4.2-4.3k
Mouse: Logitech G500 @ 3.1-3.2k
Mousepad: Razer Goliathus Speed Edition(Dragon Age 2) @ 700/-

PS: Buy locally or from eBay, flipkart prices are over the top. If you are going to purchase from flipkart then I'll suggest something cheaper(like Blackwidow/G110 @ 4.4k+Razer Deathadder Ultimate @ 2.5k+Mousepad(razer goliathus dragon age 2 @ 700/-)

Logitech G500 is significantly better than any other mouse below 5k.

What about steel ikari, previously used both Deathadder and ikari, Well in my opinion it's perfect fit to my palm and I get precise aiming in C.S. But it's has been long now I'm not a gaming monster :(.

Buddy u have cleared my confused state of mind. Earlier I was planning on going with Logitech combo but then get confused by death adder & black widow.
I am getting g500 at infibeam for rs 3500 approx
And g110 for 3900rs approx.
Well I already ordered it but was planning to cancel the order today.
So did I made the right choice by getting the Logitech combo g110 & g500.
