^^Nice, what fans are you using? Does the sound bother you? I would want to swap out my noctua P12s soon, they are silent, but move only 50CFM air.

the R4's are really cool enough to handle a Sharp Venomous. Moreover the Sentry II are coming pretty handy today....without any noise bothering me.

Even I have a pair of Corsair Fans, but the CFM is less & thats visible...

If it is thick or non-sublime then better to spread it out thin. If it is viscous and will self spread then less is better. Too much is not good also, cause it will not conduct thermally too well...!

The logic of TIM is...to negate air-bubbles which occur between the CPU heat spreader surface and the cooler HSF head. Not to create a layer in between.

very true, but I found that pressing the HSF well and twisting it by a few degrees a couple of times gives a nice spread even to the thickest of pastes.

My Arctic MX-4 is a very nice compound in this respect, it is not so thick and is very good conductor of heat, and also not electrically conductive :)

Hey guys, I am back from Bangalore and bought some CoolerMaster stuffs:smile:

Aashirwad Computers, S.P Road
CoolerMaster Elite 430----------------Rs 2671 + 5% VAT

Golchha IT, S.P Road
CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus----------Rs 1800 + 5% VAT
CoolerMaster 120mm Red LED fan------Rs 500 + 5% VAT

I went all around the shops looking for low price. Golchha quoted 2900+ and Aashirwad 2800+ for CM elite 430:(. After a long bargain Aashirwad Computers finally agreed for 2700+ although I still think I paid more and also for the LED fan. Anyway also bough Sandisk 8GB for 500 which is worth, Here at my place its 650+. Rest of the components will buy in a couple of days.

@ piedpiper, nice purchase, instead of the R4 fan you could have gotten the xtraflo, almost same price, but has PWM feature.

3 wire, voltage control, i.e ground, +12v and sense.
