@ sam I have one of my friends who visits Jakarta often. Do you suggest anything to get from there which would be relatively lesser priced than in India?

^^yes i know, Camera for example is cheaper anywhere, that too varies according to currency rate, rest of the electronics were also cheaper 6-7 months back, for example in last July i bought Razer Megalodon with 7000 INR (equiv) which was 12K in India. WD 1TB my passport around 3897 INR

Now the scenario is a bit different , dollar/IDR/INR are varying badly, specially its worse when dollar and INR both goes strong to IDR (indo rupiah) and still INR is weak to dollar but stronger than IDR, or dollar is too strong for both of the other.


Then buying from here and having a local warranty is worse than buying it from any local/online store in India, besides being in Jakarta has its privileges, Service/RMA is way faster than India, also more options and less blunt and misguiding store operators. From behavioral aspects too.

But you have to keep an eye and be regular here visiting local forums, asking locals, making friends and digging market, u still can get cheaper prices on anything and everything. I would say if anyone has the budget, do buy graphics cards from here if planning to stay in jakarta for next two years or visit once or twice. Hell lot cheaper than India and for nvidia for proper price cut, u can get a GTX 780ti against 45K, GTX 780 vanilla for 32K, 770 for 23K, won't mention R9 prices ;) some guys may get jealous.
