First of all some synthetic benchmarks-

The above is done an Asus laptop.

Now, my own vaio laptop-

Now comes the main part, that is real world performance.

Whatever the benchmark says, real world speeds are no where near to it.

In 3.0, I get write speeds from 40-55mBps. Read speed is around 60mBps.

In 2.0, write speed is as per benchmark, i.e. near 25mBps.

Coming to conclusion, one should get it or not ?

As you can get same capacity 3.0 drive in around 1.5k, why this ? If someone really needs good but not large storage at move, with really "moving" speed, and something really pocketable, then this is to go for. Otherwise, you can add some bucks and rather get an ext HDD of 15x the capacity.

I'm somewhat satisfied. Would give it 8/10 considering the cost.

My Bad Sujay Snice I saw three Pics I thought there are three Pen Drives.
Now I got it
The one which says 8 GB is USB 2.0 and costs Rs 370
The other one which says 32 GB is Rs 2390 and has USB 3.0

I have been contemplating getting one Pen drive min 16 GB and USB 3.0 but it's over 1k. So hoping for prices to come down.

Bought 4 Dual Layer DVD's for Rs 230

I'm confused bro. Not able to decide is it worth the additional amount to buy USB 3.0. Also there is Transcend and Corsair so not sure what to buy. I wanted to buy only Corsair which is not available locally. Let me see if I can get something good .

congrats dashing.sujay ....I have the 16GB version of this pendrive for last 6 months ...and have almost similar real life experience

it writes at 50-60MBps which is more then sufficient when USB2.0 could go max to 12-18MBps

just checked the speed and it got 57MB write and 75MB/s read speed

Seeing the scenario, I'm happy that I went for an external HDD over this pen drive.

Not running DD-WRT but the latest Asus Beta Firmware and everythinh is sorted and just fine ,not like old days anymore.And yes Download Master is almost amazing too.

I too was confused between external HDD and pen drive at that time...but thought I have 1 TB of HDD in lappy a 500 GB in desktop which will take roughly more then a year to fill...will buy a 2 TB next year :D till then a superfast pen drive in my pocket is much better to transfer and copy
