Quickheal is crap anti-virus. It says virus in those files which are found clean most other AVs. :x

yup. quickheal is a crap A/V. that also paid.

@sam- IDK what problems you faced but I never came across such problems. Can you explain?

driver (sound), connectivity (broadband & GPRS) & slowdowns. happened to uncles pc too after updating it to SP3. thats why i asked OP if he updated to SP3.

Remove following items-
BCU, ISUSPM Startup, awpc. Rest are fine. And try to delete all, not just disable, it seems clean that way.

wtf! If that is the case get your HDD (or its cable) checked. Because re-connecting HDD's never result in loss of data. I did many times daily.

You're welcome. 2gb is fine untill you game hard, that too only latest games. Moreover, you're recommended to use 64 bit instead of 32 bit as 32 bit isn't able to utilise more than 3.25GB.

Jus 1 question if you have not done a format and reinstall...what happens in safe mode?
If it works in safe mode then its a process stuck up[most likely third party]....which can be found out and eliminated using autoduns:
Autoruns for Windows

PS: If the drive or cabling is faulty then this will not help
