PC boots for 2-3 seconds then shuts down

Hello.

this i discovered the day before y'day. my newly assembled HTPC, i booted it, but before reaching the BIOS screen, it shut down. powered up again, same thing. repeated a few times. a night before that the power of my home had tripped twice. i believe it has something to do with it (dont have a UPS too connected to it). havent got the time to open the case up. but could someone advise what to do? could the problem be with the PSU/mobo?

Looks like faulty PSU. Check with another PSU and see if it still reboots.

Faced this situation before mainly for :

1. Faulty cpu.
2. Corrupted bios.
3. Motherboards cpu power socket gone non functional.
4. And the classical malfunction / stuck Power/ reset button of cabinet.
