Partition HDD without formatting

I have purchased 1tb seagate HDD and transfer all my multimedia files approx 200gb on that..
Now I have to create 2-3 partition on hdd without removing those 200gb files

How to do that?

Use a Partition Manager like Easeus Partition Manager, but its always advisable to backup first.

Always backup first, cause files are not placed sequentially on the hdd, they are spread over, interfered by MBT and other unmovable stuff.

No, can't you borrow an external hdd from a friend?

Easeus is safe as per my experience. But a power failure will be fatal.

u can also try partition wizard(a very simple partition but powerful partition manager)

@ OP - if you are using win7 then you can create partition using the HDDs free space - windows 7 has in-built feature for that but better would be using 3rd party apps
