Hey all
How o change the Main Menu button .. Like some theme provide .png icon for main menu I did not download as I don 't know where to paste them :9

do u mean gnome menu button?ah..that u shud try at *ubuntuforums.org
u can search /usr/share/applications/

wait! i found u need to change the icon "distributor-logo.svg" for ur theme to the icon u r gonna use,u need to put the icon named as distributor-logo.svg and put somewhere in /usr/share/icons/<theme name>
afaik .svg icon that needs 2 be!

A little correction to praka123's answer:

The 2 possible places your image (after being renamed to distributor-logo.png or .svg) needs to go to are:

/usr/share/icons/<themename>/24x24/places/

And/Or ..

/home/<name>/.icons/<themename>/24x24/places/

The 24x24 is the default icons size on Ubuntu, if you've changed it to 32x32 or 48x48 and so on, go to those respective folders.

And yeah, use this for easy moving:

gksudo nautilus

Umm.. my Main Menu icon :

/home/<username>/.icons/nuoveXT-1.6/24x24/apps/gnome-main-menu.png

It isn't the same with all Icon themes actually. For example, the Human theme doesn't have a /apps/gnome-main-menu.png. I guess it takes some browsing around to find out which looks like one.
