Got the Moto G86 last week. My father is happy with the big battery and was able to find a tempered glass screen protector for it.
I too want to buy one for my dad. Can you check and let me know if it has call recording without announcements?

IDK, he's in my hometown and bough it locally. AFAIK, the stock google dialer will announce before the recording starts.
So that means Samsung is still the best and some chinese phoes, that doesn't announce.

If you want stock, you can make it a beep sound instead of announcement. If you don't even want that, then yes Samsung and Chinese phones that comes with their own dialer have that feature.

How is the custom ROM scene for recent phones (I mean the ones released in the last year or two)? Heard that pretty much every phone makers blocked the way to unlock the bootloader and if there is any they would be too much of a hassle and not to mention security risk or so I hear.
