Try to open Registry Editor by typing regedit in RUN dialog box. If u get an error that "Registry Editor has been disabled by the administrator", then ur system has been infected by a virus :)

Scan ur computer with a good anti-virus!

And if u r able to open regedit then just goto:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

and in right-side pane delete the key NoFolderOptions :)

@shanky: goto start > run > gpedit.msc > user configuration > admin templates > system
In the right hand panel, double click on "prevent access to registry editing tools" and select "not configured" or "disabled".
Now try vishal's tweak. If you still get the error (registry blocked ... blah blah blah :D) then type gpupdate/force ar RUN.
Hope this helps :D

thanks to SE>IE and Vishal their plan worked....
I also did a virus search with AntiVir and brontok.h virus was find. But once I had clicked ignored when it detected one, I still doubt if somemore virus are residing in my pc. Does ignoring keeps them on the pc?
