Although a marginal increment Nexus 4 appears to be the best (overall) android phone right now ..

Read on more here .. AnandTech - Google Nexus 4 Review - Google's new Flagship

If you're an Android enthusiast, the Nexus 4 is obviously the phone to have right now. The combination of APQ8064 and MDM9x15 is excellent in spite of some unfortunate thermal throttling, and we'll be seeing many more Fusion 3 based devices in time at prices well above the Nexus 4 out of contract. At a fundamental level there is quite literally no better vehicle out there for Google to communicate its smartphone platform via than the yearly Nexus refresh. On its own, the Nexus 4 would otherwise be phenomenally great hardware. As a Nexus, it's a level even beyond that. - Brian Klug on AnandTech

My phone purchase is due the coming feb or march. Nexus 4 seems to fit the bill perfectly - unlike the highly overpriced previous nexus devices, at 299$ US price, its Indian price should be around 18k - perfect for a 4.7" Quad Core phone. Just hoping for a proper Indian launch and rupee appreciation to happen meanwhile :-D

I read somewhere that they are launching in India at around 35+ INR . And is currently possible to get in India at around 22k w/o warranty from Ebay.

DO you think the rest of phones (Above 15k) will survive competition against NExus 4 , if its released under 20k in India ??

Sadly this seems so unreal to happen. Why?
The Nexus 4 costs a lot more in EU than in USA. I expect India to follow suite if the phone is ever officially launched here(again unlikely)
Expect it to cost 30k or up when launched here(IMO it will be above 25k here any day)

One thing to be noticed... iPhone 5 outperforms SIII in every segment... Infact it is in top 3 in every segment... Even though people says its not Quad-Core, less ram blah-blah.. An eye opener to those who just compares specs and declares that this is better than that...

Keep a USB OTG cable Handy , alongwith a 64GB ultrafast penDrive. hehe.

Haha...that will be extra burden considering I already carry a portable rig with me. micro sd cars are so much convenient. Those decision makers are idiots.

Nexus 4 international price trend.

Canada C$309 (16988 INR) for 8GB and C$359 (19737 INR) for 16GB

Europe
Austria €549 (38704) for 16GB
Germany €299 (21080 INR)for 8GB and €349 (24605 INR) for 16GB
France €299 (21080 INR)for 8GB and €349 (24605 INR) for 16GB.
Ireland £239 (20936 INR) for 8GB, and £279 (INR 24440) for 16GB.
Australia AU$349 (19884 INR) for 8GB, and (INR 22732) for 16GB.

Observing at the trend , 22-25K for 8GB looks like a fair LG India retail price.
I have heard the $299 in US for the 16GB is without tax .. Doesn’t matter there much 'coz tax ranges from 5 - 7%.
In India its 12.5%.
12.5% tax on 23K price will push it to 26K approx.
