1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run?
Ans: Playing games like Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, Metro 2033. Applications like Photoshop, Adobe AfterEffects, etc. Programming and application development.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 70k. Can extend to 75k if worth it.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Not currently. After 2 years maybe.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7 and Ubuntu.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 2TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 23-24 inch. Mostly going for Dell U2311HM.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: DVD Writer and speakers.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: 2-3 Days

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Never built one before but doing it this time.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Baroda, Gujarat. Mostly buying processor, motherboard, cabinet and keyboard locally.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I won't be overclocking now and would overclock maybe after 2-3 years. Do I need a cooler now? I would mostly use the system for gaming, programming (VB, codeblocks), a little bit of photoshop and aftereffects. Should I go for 2600k or 2500k? I can spend on a 2600k but I don't want to spend and realize that the things I do would have had same performance on a 2500k.

Where can I find Dell U2311HM at the cheapest price? Would it be good for gaming? Ghosting issues? Is there any other IPS monitor around 15k that is better than Dell U2311HM?

Is something new going to come withint 2-3 weeks? Should I wait? What about 660ti? I heard it's coming in July. Worth the wait?

I am confused between Corsair 400R and Coolermaster 690 II Advanced USB 3.0. I am inclining towards 690 II. Is Corsair better?

What things should I check out before buying so I don't end up with older version/stock?

The comment on AnandTech for this display is
In terms of performance, the AOC comes down right in the middle of the road. The lag is a little bit too high for hard core gamers, though I found it to be acceptable for casual gaming myself.
.

If you guys want the link you can check AOC i2353Ph

@OP: The i5-2500k should be good enough. Don't go for i7.

For IPS monitor, I would advice to go for either Dell U2311H or Asus PA238Q (little costly but with HDMI). I use the latter one myself and absolutely love it. :)

I've seen Dell U2311H on SMC before. Can't recheck it right now as website is down for maintenance.

One 7850 will be better than two 7770. And it is for same amount.
My personal opinion.

How is Corsair Force 3? I am thinking of going for an SSD and buying HDD later on. Corsair Force 3 120gb or Vertex 3 60 gb?

For monitor simply go for this (unless you need HDMI port) -

Dell UltraSharp U2311H

According to the above Website Dell U2311H is having better viewing angle But Both are good

Dell U2311H or Dell U2311HM? What is the difference?

There are very few differences. Most prominent is that the latter one is a revised newer model of 2012 with W-LED backlighting. By expert reviews, both models perform similar so you can pick whatever you like. Though both lack HDMI ports which is a bummer in my opinion.

PS : Both are available on SMC international at quite a reasonable price.

I think you should buy Corsair Force 3 gt rather than the non gt version.

ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 or ASUS P8Z77-M PRO? The extra 2k for ASUS is worth it? What about the after sales service of ASRock?

Are the prices dropping? Corsair Carbide 400R is going for Rs. 4788 at flipkart. Just two days back it was around Rs. 5100.

Any alternatives to Seasonic PSU? I asked at the local shop here and he said that Seasonic if gets damaged would take a long time to get repaired as he will have to send it out of Gujarat. Corsair/Cooler Master would be done under 2 weeks. So, which corsair/cooler master PSU should I go for or is Seasonic really good option?
