X6 has been blasted to oblivion by the vivaz.
Battle of two equally dumb phones.

thing is 5800 is 2yrs old and nokia didnt do anything new for this mid segment..
BTW X6 would have been a great replacement for 5800..but where is it??
Mid segment??What has nokia done even for it`s so called high segment?n97 was a joke.More over nokia stopped manufacturing e90 to promote the useless n97.Nowadays nokia is synonymous with real low end phones.

I think u all are overlooking a couple of extremely good models, 5230 and 5233. First, the resistive touch screen is more practical than capacitive. Moreover, Nokia handsets come with solutions such as Messaging Service (light and saves data charges), Ovi Maps and Navigation, which I believe is a killer app. Trust me, have used navigation a lot of times and found it really helpful...

WTF!!!resistive screen more practical than capacitive?and that too on symbian??Mate, the two phones you mentioned are even worse than 5800.If only interface and touch responsiveness are concerned samsung is way ahead with galaxy in this segment.

i agree that resistive touch is less responsive, but with capacitive touch, I can't use anything except my fingers...so if I receive a call while having lunch I would rather have resistive. Ideally, I would love capacitive's responsiveness with resistive's utility...
As for 5230 being worse than 5800, i would say that given the price difference, it makes a lot of sense. Galaxy is a good phone but again very pricey. I find 5230 to be the best in that price range...

Listening to all your suggestions guys I think i should go with the Android offering....
Yesterday I checked my friend's 5800 and it was full with lags and even the touch response was worse than i thought..
Moreover the Camera quality was not up to the mark....

just read here *www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i5700_galaxy_spica-review-465p6.php
abt galaxy spica's cam in gsmarena review....I think its also worse

and BTW it only records in cif (352 x 288 ) 15fps where as 5800 records in 640x480 30fps

But the performance of galaxy is better due to its 800mhz processor:)

If touchscreen isnt all that important, i suggest you check out the SE Elm.Great phone at 10k with all bells and whistles known to mobiles.Excellent cam too. One of the best in the business.

^^
It's a good phone and i agree that touchscreens aren't that important but adoption seems difficult in the market coz nowadays if people prepare a budget of 10K then they mostly go with Touchscreen phones....
