Point Blanc
SAMSUNG SATA burner would not cost 2K :D, its less than 1.1K

buy a SATA burner, wil save up space inside the cabinet. and samsung one is good.

you can get SATA burner in sony also.

in 12K it is Pehnom 2 920 not 940 I think

DVD Writer @ 1.1k
MSI HD4870 512MB GDDR5 @ 12.8k

Get Phenom II 920 @ 10.5k instead.

The max u'll be OCing is 3.6GHz i guess, and this one goes 3.8GHz anyways.

Get Corsair VX550W @ 5k becuz of HD4870 and a P2 processor, both power hungry.

Hi
I was planning to buy AMD but scraped it because of heating issues and AMD is new into 45nm and also Q9400 processor is good competitorto phenom 940 in gaming and rendering(better than 940)...........................correct me if I am wrong

So i have decided to go with new extended budget...........

Intel Q9400..............................................................12000
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P....................................................9000(doubt)
Corsair VX 550 Watts...................................................3500
Coolermaster CM 690...................................................3900
Kingston/Transcend 2x2GB DDR2 800MHZ.........................2000
Palit HD 4850 (512MB)..................................................7500
WD 500GB..................................................................2850
Sony DVD WR.............................................................1100

Total around: 42000/-

Suggest me nice Motherboard around 7K..................doubt abt price of this one

If your display is 22" or more, Make a little bit of changes.

Phenom 920(10k) + Gigabyte 780G based board(5k) + HD4870(13k-15k) will be lot lot lot lot more faster than Q9400 + Gigabyte EP45-UD3P + HD4850.

My home PC having Athlon 64 2.2GHz (single core) + ATI 2600XT is lot faster (in video rendering and gaming) than my office PC having Intel Core2Duo E6300 + Quadro NVS 540. 2600XT made a huge difference in performance.

the phenom 2 940 is better than Q9400 in both gaming an rendering...Only the Q9550 competes with p2 90...So get this:
1.phenom 2 940 ---------------- 12k
2.A 790gx mobo like biostar------ 5k
3.cooler master 600W------------3.6k
4.MSI HD4870--------------------12.5k
5.CM690-------------------------4k
6.transcend 4gb ddr2800---------2.5k
7.WD500gb----------------------2.8k
8.samsung sata dvd writer--------1.1k

TOTAL: 43k
The 4870 PWNS the 4850...With the AMD option you can get the 4870.

currently I hv 15" monitor.............1024X674
But gonna upgrade later to 19" Samsung

with that setup, FullHD display will make more sense. quadcore+hd4870 on a 19" is not a good setup ( unless you do 90% video rendering and 10% gaming )

Check BenQ 22" display. It costs around 10k I think.

I m gonna buy LCD later.....................may b after 3months

So till then............................15" will work..................
...........i was thinking of ............HD4850 bcoz ..............later after 1-1.5 year I gonna get nice dX11 supported GPU........

So now whats ur commnets?
need suggestion.:!:

desiibond

Bond, Desi Bond!
as I said earlier, you get more performance out of X4 940+HD4870 than from Q9400+HD4870.

YOu are not losing anything. both setups cost the same price, then why not go for HD4870.

Forget about future, Get the best you can get now.

DX11? Name 10 dx10 games? Name one dx10.1 game :)

So what about the heating problems with AMD phenom II?

And is this board with AM3?

bcoz q9400 + gA EP45 UD3P--------- no scope for future upgrade
But if I go with this I think there ll be upgrade option in future right?
