1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Casual Gaming like max payne, prince of persia, nfs, fifa,,,......
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans:About 25K for now...

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No.....

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win7 32 or 64 Bit....(??????????)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500gb....

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans:20 inch.......1600*900...!!!!

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: GRAPHICS CARD..........its for future..!!!!!!!!

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Next Week...

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:assembler......

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:kolkata,.....Flipkart is my choice...!!!!!!!!

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:this is my first pc........so i need ur help badly....i am little bit confused between INTEL & AMD, so suggest which is good for me,,,,!!!!!!

I am going for something which matches your description EXACTLY

If you want to go for the path of intel, I would suggest
Depending upon the Service center near your location, choose whichever component suits you best
These are flipkart prices but locally they should be SLIGHTLY cheaper
i3 2100 - Rs 6800.. Although if u can find i3 2105 or i3 2125 for a good price, get it.. They have HD graphics 3000 which SHOULD get you going atleast until you purchase a gfx card.. you will have to extend your budget though

KB/Mouse - El Cheapo - Rs 350
Asus/HP DVD RW - Rs 900 <-- GET ASUS or HP only.. do not go for SONY no matter what

it overshoots your budget by Rs 1857
If you compromise your HDD by getting a 320GB one, Seagate Momentus 320 GB costs Rs 3380


Dont bother with AMD.. With the config i suggested, you can atleast upgrade ur processor to i5 or i7 SANDYBRIDGE or Ivy Bridge Processors without any problems..

for graphics, id suggest HD 7770/HD 6850 if you can find a deal within 7.5K - 8.5K.. else get Zotac GTX 560 for Rs 9.5 K from Ebay after applying coupon code 10% Off

1. Get WDC Blue 500GB instead of Seagate as WD has 2yrs warranty compared to 1yr of Seagate.

2. Hope that's Corsair or GSkill RAM.

3. Get Zebronics Reaper or Aviator for 2k. Much better option than iBall.

4. Numeric 600VA for 1.5k is a better choice than Frontech. Else get Zebronics/Intex 600VA for 1.2k

5. Get Asus DRW-24B5ST for 1k or HP 24x DVD-RW for 0.9k. Dont get LG. Even Samsung ones are better than LG. But go with HP or Asus.

2. That was zion....now i am considering between the cheaper of Transcend & Corsair....

3. I think iball cabby with corsair or cooler master psu will be good...i have to check the price...

4. Zebronics 600VA is my choice...

2. Get Corsair 4GB DDR3 Value RAM for 1.3k from flipkart

3. If you wanna buy a good PSU get it from Corsair, Seasonic, FSP, Antec. Avoid Cooler Master at all costs.
For cabinet see if you can get CM ELite 310 for 1.8k else get Zeb. Aviator/Reaper w/o PSU for 1.6k

4. That's fine, but I would prefer Intex over Zebronics.

Yes, Zebby has been making some kickass quality cabinets lately.. Just make sure that you get a full size atx one instead of a micro atx..

i3 2120 for Rs 6450 o_O You lucky duck.. I haveto spend Rs 6800 locally to get i3 2100 lol

With vat its about 26000

for now i am getting the local psu bcz a branded one is out of my budget...later i wl get cooler master or corsair psu wen i wl have the gfx....is that ok..????
