if the rupee picks up the prices may cool, but i doubt by how much & when
Galaxy R will Eventually get ICS, its a dual core. But how soon, I wonder(esp when samsung is busy bringing ICS to the US s2 variants along with the worlds 9100).
Indian(s2's are still on 2.3.3 lol)

If upgrades are what you are concerned on I would suggest you Sony (my friends arc is already on 2.3.5)or LG optimus 2x (IF you will root and do custom roms etc etc)

The chip-set on R is same as that in many dual core Devices, nvidia Tegra, but unfortunately this device has little/no community support.

If you want phone @ 16k go for Neo v

Best is @22K go for Galaxy R (stretch 1K and get this IMO) I am recommending this above LG optimus 2x becuase of 1Gb ram,Bluetooth 3.0, Better Battery..But if Camera is your priority then go for LG optimus 2x.

Lg optmius 2x @ 20K (If camera is your priority)

IMO all these three phones will get ICS update.

i think every android buyer above 15k deserves atleast one update....as i'm gonna keep this for the coming 1-2 yrs so i wanna taste ICS through this...

surfing net & enjoying multimedia capabilities r the primary needs of mine...
i have a separate P&S camera so don't care much about camera quality of phone

well what I remember every android phone sees at least two updates (as by agreement)

I am 99% sure they all will get ICS update..

IMO go for samsung Galaxy R.

Lg optimus 2x also has some bugs (firmware bugs which should be rectified by updates,)

Galaxy r is much more like lite version of samsung galaxy s2 (It's a bump in budget but check it out.)
