What about Phenom X2 555 BE ? I think it can be unlocked to a Phenom X4.

and also about ram is it dual channel ?

It was a definite thing in the first couple of batch of processors. I don't think there is a high chance of unlocking right now.

Nopes..it is not led..but it's the cheapest full hd monitor..if you can, go for Dell ST2220L..it has a very good viewing angle and is led too

@gamespy

The rams can be configured in dual channel in 2x2. Place the rams alternatively like 1st slot , 3rd slot or 2nd slot , 4th slot for a dual channel configuration.

Benq G2220HD is not LED but is fullhd and has very good performance. If you want led, then go with dell st2220l like i mentioned before.

^^its a 4gb single stick you mentioned.

@gamespy
you can look at corsair value series 2 * 2 gb ddr3 1333mhz for around 2.3k only if you want dual channel.

Athlon II X3 or X4. Phenom II X2 is good but only for now. if you are able unlock the 2 extra cores & they remain stable, its good but why play with your luck? play safe & go with Athlon II X4.

the only difference between Athlon and Phenom is the extra cache on phenom. So think of it this way, even if you are able to unlock the core and there are no problems, still you would be getting just a 10-15% performance boost over Athlon II X4 640/635. and for that boost you will be taking a huge risk as unlocking cores is not always successful and in case something goes wrong, it won't even be covered under warranty.
So I'd say a 3.0 Ghz quad core is good enough. just go with it.
