Can you please be specific as too how much there is an increase in speed in terms of KB/sec?

The Nokia 5700 being an EDGE Class 32 phone,does that make any difference to the download and browsing speed?

Absolutely none, for me atleast. I'm thinking maybe because my SIM card is a bit too old.

Pages load faster on the 5700 than on my e50. On my old 64bit sim as well as my dad's 128bit sim. The difference isnt much though.

Well my 5700 upon connecting to my pc gives the exact same download speeds as my previous W710i which was Class 10.

Well, Class 32 EDGE can retain speed upto 296kbps whereas Class 10 EDGE can only retain upto 236kbps.......

Same is with Class 32 GPRS which can retain speed upto 107kbps whereas Class 10 GPRS will only retain speed upto 48kbps......

Anyways, in India it doesn't make any difference......You are surely not going to get 29.5 KB/s (236kbps) on Class 10 EDGE phone and even not get the same speed on a Class 32 EDGE fone.....
