The Mozilla Corporation have today uploaded the follow-up to their hugely popular web browser, Firefox. Despite not being featured on the Firefox homepage the files have all been uploaded to the Mozilla FTP site. English versions of Linux, Macintosh and Windows versions are available.

It has now been officially released on their Homepage

Wait for the final release before you start downloading. Let the mirrors sync first. This will just place unnecessary loads on mozilla's servers.

I first realized that an update must have been released when I saw that the number of people searching for a way to update Firefox manually using a .Mar file had jumped up quite a bit in the last couple of days (I can see the search terms people used to get to my blog).

So in case you have problems with updating...drop by.

That was a useful link for those who use Firefox from their workplace. Office proxy servers usually block the update.

But anyway...if it's considered "advertising"...fine.
